Mel Wheeler

I first met Kerry when he was my wife's art student @ Elmwood Park HS. I was amazed at his talent then and watched it grow even greater over the years. He later came out to us ,"I need to know who my friends are?" He taught me, a straight guy, a tremendous amount about being gay and I was always proud to call him my friend. One of his artworks hangs in my office. It was a piece McDonalds didn't want. I was so honored to have known Kerry.
