Beloved husband of Joan (Slocum) Smith, loving father of Susan and Ralph Pinto of Sudbury, Sandra and Jason Jones of Arlington, and Lynda and Bruce Tait of Weymouth, and cherished “Bumpa” of Katie and Joseph Pinto, Devon and Ryan Jones, and Elizabeth and Cameron Tait. Brother of the late Frances Mooney. Uncle of Judith Brooks of CT and Edward Mooney of NH. U.S. Army veteran, thirty-year employee of the MBTA, and ten-year employee of the Town of Arlington. Long-time usher at St. Jerome’s Church and Cemetery Commissioner of Mt. Pleasant. Avid Red Sox fan. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center, especially those in the dialysis unit, the staff at Park Avenue Nursing and Rehab, and the EMTs at Armstrong Ambulance. Relatives and friends invited to attend visiting hours at the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Chestnut St., Rt. 60 (adjacent to St. Agnes Church) ARLINGTON on Wednesday 9:00 to 10:30 am, followed by his funeral mass in St. Raphael Church, Medford at 11:00am.
