Bom-Wrapper

The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Lawrence E. Albertelli can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Uncle Larry was the coolest uncle anyone could have. You kids are lucky. I have fond memories of cruising to work at 4:00 AM in his 911S one summer when I worked at the Pier Grill, and the cookouts at 10 Osceola Path. He and Auntie Gloria were the perfect hosts. He was the perfect bartender at these occasions. I never once saw him drunk. I remember the time he and dad chased away 2 thugs who were about to beat on the guy at the go-kart track. It's a real tragedy that he suffered from Alzheimer's disease. He was always in the top of condition and was mentally and physically active. I can't help thinking that this may have been a direct result of his football career in high school. There is mounting evidence of the correlation. But who knows? Nana Albertelli also suffered form this disease so maybe we all have a predisposition to it. I hope not but it's a definite possibility. Always stay active and stay forever young.
