The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Linda M. Boodkin can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Obituary for Linda M. Boodkin

Linda M.  Boodkin
Borodkin, Linda Mae of Somerville, MA, died peacefully on February 23, 2015. Linda worked for many years as a VP of The Cambridge Health Alliance (formerly Cambridge City Hospital and Somerville Hospital). She was a quiet and forceful advocate for social justice in her work and in her life, bringing people together across many divides. She treated everyone with dignity and care and, in turn, was beloved by all whom she touched. She will be sorely missed by her sister Lucy, cousins Judy, Jeanne and Sue, as well as many other relatives and friends. The family will have Shiva (visiting hours) on Tuesday and Wednesday, Feb 24th and 25th, from 6:30 to 8:30 PM at 27 Milton Street, Somerville, 02144. In lieu of flowers, etc, please consider donating to Linda's favorite charities: The Rosenberg Fund for Children or the Welcome Project in Somerville. A memorial service will be help in the spring.
