WHELTON, Margaret (Ganshirt), of Somerville. April 4, 2015. Wife of the late John J. Whelton. Daughter of the late Charles and Anna (Durnan) Ganshirt. Cherished sister of the late Muriel Traveis, Charles Ganshirt, Anna Langenfeld, Louise Fratus, Marion Barry, and James Ganshirt. Margaret is survived by 27 dear nieces and nephews, many great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews. Funeral from Keefe Funeral Home, 2175 Mass Ave., NO. CAMBRIDGE on Tuesday at 9am. Funeral Mass at St. John's Church at 10am. Visiting hours Monday 4-8 pm. Burial in Cambridge Catholic Cemetery. Parking available at Pemberton Garden Center. In lieu of flowers, donations may in her memory may be made to St. John’s the Evangelist, 2254 Mass Ave., Cambridge MA, 02140.
