Obituary for William "Mac" Coleman
COLEMAN, William “Mac” of Medford, formerly of Cambridge. Passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 18, 2015. A devoted father and grandfather. He was a loving husband of the late Eugenia (Kastic) whom he married in September 1947; together they shared nearly 66 years. Late WW II Coast Guard veteran. An avid sports fan, many Sundays were spent surrounded by family watching a baseball or football game. Loving father of William Coleman of Medford, Jeannie Coleman Taylor of Medford, and the late Corporal Robert J. Coleman. Devoted grandfather of Kristyn Taylor of Medford, Lauren Boutwell and her husband Christopher of Billerica, and Michael Taylor of Medford. Great grandfather of Abigail Rose Boutwell. Brother of Agnes Coleman of Somerville, Rita Pare of NH, and the late Richard, Edward, Helen Coleman, Catherine Hill, Mary Peterson, and Margaret O’Riley. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Bill’s family would like to thank the staff at Mount Auburn Hospital, Beacon and Home in Belmont, and the Arlington VNA Hospice for the wonderful care given to him over the past months. Funeral services are private. Memorial donations may be made in his memory to Arlington VNA Hospice, 37 Broadway, Arlington, MA 02474.
