Richard L.  Connolly
CONNOLLY, Richard L., of Cambridge and Beacon Hill, died on May 27th from complications of a heart attack in December. Born in Bryan, Ohio to Glenn and Betty Connolly, he was raised in Michigan and came to Boston in his 20’s. he started Beacon Hill Plumbing and had many friends on the hill. He famously fought the City of Boston over the “Denver Boot”, and laws regarding commercial vehicles remain to this day. He loved hang gliding and old Ford F-100 trucks, many of which he restored and drove regularly. An excellent cook, barbeque and smoking meat was a specialty. Thanksgiving will not be the same without smoked turkey. Beloved husband of Patricia Caldwell, he is also survived by two brothers, David and Lance as well as a son, Paul Johnston. There are also nieces, nephews, cousins and friends too numerous to count. A Celebration of Richard’s Life will be held at Keefe Funeral Home, 2175 Mass. Ave., CAMBRIDGE on Sunday, June 28th from 3-7 pm. No flowers please. Donations may be made in Richard’s name to Saint Jude’s Hospital, 501 Saint Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
