Hello Janet and family.
I was so sad to hear today about Roly. He was a Treasure of a Man. He was my Patriots Uncle among the crew of my Dad, Tom, John Cap, Tony G, that would go to the Patriots before they were champions. I was blessed to have wonderful times eating steaks in a strange woman's back yard, walking the dangerous railroad tracks of Foxboro in all types of weather to and from the stadium and attending the games during the "character" years that help build great fans. Roly and I would have deep political discussions that only a 9-13 year olds can have with a great statesman like Roly. His smile and kindness were beyond reproach.
I cherished the yearly Superbowl events and when the crew would have a "No Kids, No Women" policy and I was able to pretend to be "under the weather" to so I could hang out with Roly and the crew. It was impactful to me in so many ways to be with Roly. He was the best of the best...
I missed him this Christmas at the crew dinner which was another funny tradition that incorporated multiple generations and always had it's share of laughs and stories. His smile that will always be part of my memories.
I am so so sorry for the loss of this wonderful man for you and your family
