Condolence: I'm saddened to learn of Ed's sudden, and unexpected death. Though it's been awhile since I last saw Ed, we had a number of engaging conversations through the years and a warm relationship. I remember him as a kind man with a passion for music. My deepest condolences to Marty, Amy, Ethan, Sophie and all of Ed's family and friends.

Condolence: The world has lost a truly great friend. Uncle Wolf, as he was known by my family, gave me my first stuffed animal when I was a newborn, took me on all my Boston college tours when I was a teenager and watched me get married when I was a grown-up. Knowing that he and Marty would be there as surrogate parents when I needed them was a big reason why I felt like I could go cross-country for school and it was a move that shaped my life in every important way. I can only hope he knows how grateful I am for the love, kindness and humor he brought all of us over the years.

Condolence: Dave and I are saddened by your loss. Dave and Ed go back to RT-11 days and went to England on a bike trip - where Ed did a lot of photography. We will both miss him, knowing he is not going to have that occasional lunch with Dave and BC. Our thoughts are with you, Marti, and his family and friends.

Condolence: I was so sorry to hear of this tragedy. Ed was an old friend. Although we saw little of each other in the last decade, knowing someone like Ed was in the world made it a better place. I'm at a loss for words. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Marti and his family.

Condolence: I am so sorry for your loss. I met him in a Photography Atelier at the Griffin Museum and he was always excited about his photographs and the work of others. He was a creative spirit and so interested in people and their stories. I always looked for him at show openings - he had a warm smile and a big heart. He will be missed.
