POWERS, Gertrude M. (Stewart) of Arlington. Jan. 18, 2017. Beloved wife of the late David Powers. Loving mother of Thomas Powers and wife Janet of RI, Margaret Regan and husband William of Arlington, Kathleen Meloy and husband Frederick of Arlington, John Powers of Arlington, and the late David Powers Jr.. Devoted grandmother of Sean, Julie, Ryan, Ricky, Annie, Sheila, Colan, Jay, Billy, David, Meg, and Mark. Also survived by 9 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and wonderful friends. Sister of the late Catherine Barry. Gertrude was a longtime Harvard University employee. Member of the Arlington Catholic Women’s Guild and Saint Agnes’ Sodality. Funeral from the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Chestnut St., Rt. 60 (adjacent to St. Agnes Church) ARLINGTON, Saturday at 10:30 am, followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Agnes Church, 30 Medford St., Arlington at 11:30 am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 4-8 pm. Services will conclude with a burial in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Arlington.
