Obituary for Priscilla Frances Sadler (Ulman)

In Loving Memory of Our Mother, Grandmother and Great grandmother—

Priscilla Frances Ulman Sadler was born in Swampscott, Massachusetts on July 4th1919, the only daughter of Florence and Julius Adams Ulman. Her childhood was spent in her beloved Swampscott with two older brothers Norbert and Kenneth. The family often enjoyed summers in their country home where Priscilla delighted in celebrating her “Independence Day” birthday surrounded by the White Mountains in Sandwich, New Hampshire.

Priscilla was married to Henry Allen Sadler, Jr. in Windham, N.H., November 21, 1937. Their early marriage was established in Swampscott where they were blessed with three children: Marcia Lea, Linda Kay and Henry Allen III. Later the family made their home in Arlington and then in Lexington. Priscilla and Henry became active members of the First Baptist Church on Mass Ave., Lexington.

Family genealogy became a full time interest and fascination for Priscilla, which led her to enjoy many years as a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Menotomy Chapter. Antiques and historical architecture were her passions that encouraged travels with her husband to Washington, D.C., Colonial Williamsburg, VA. and other prominent places of interest.

During those years, Priscilla watched her family grow and increase in members and was pleased to be involved in the love and lives of her three children, eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. In 1997, the entire family gathered at The Colonial Inn, Concord, MA. to celebrate Priscilla and Henry’s 60th wedding anniversary.

Priscilla departed from this life in Lexington, January 31, 2005 at the age of eight-five years, after a long illness. Preceeding her in death were her parents, her brothers and her daughter, Linda.

Those of us who survive, send her in peace into the arms of love that she may be granted life eternal in the Heavenly Kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Signed with love everlasting from her family:
