HEGARTY, Richard T., of Somerville, MA died at the Mt. Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, MA on October 27, 2014. Born in Somerville, MA to the late Micheal J. and Agnes C. (Murphy) Hegarty on November 30, 1942, he was 71. A life long resident of Somerville, he is a U. S. Army Vietnam Army Veteran. Father of Bryan Hegarty. Brother of Agnes Mansier, Philip Hegarty, Peggy Benedetti, the late Joseph Hegarty, James Hegarty and Helen Reen. Also survived by one granddaughter, Lilly, many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Relatives and friends invited to attend visiting hours at the Keefe Funeral Home, 2175 Massachusetts avenue, Cambridge, MA on Thursday, October 30th from 4:00 to 6:30pm, followed by his funeral service in the funeral home at 6:30pm.
