Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Gilbert S. Mello can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: Was researching some outstanding teachers I had in Arlington. Sorry to have found this so late. Mr Mello was one of the best role models I had in my life. I loved his class. And, in an age of chaotic behavior, he insisted on respectful manners. He put in place the many disruptive school bullies. I surmise he saved some of them; in any case, the lesson was not lost on me or other students. Great leader
