Of Arlington. Passed away peacefully on October 14, 2017 surrounded by his loving family and the Grace of God. Beloved husband of 51 years to Judith A. (Keefe). Son of the late Michael McElligott and Elizabeth (Brady). Loving father of David Jr. and his wife Robin of Billerica, Steven and his wife Stephanie of Westford, Michael and his wife Tamani of Wilmington, and Peter and his wife Rachel of Chelmsford. Proud ‘Grandpa’ of Kelli, Matthew, Christopher, Ryan, Brynn, Daniel, Nathan, Andrew, Alison, Cullen, Teagan, and the late Ronan John. Dear brother of Richard McElligott of Hopkinton. David was a loving and devoted family man who always put his family first. He was a longtime and proud member of the Arlington Catholic High School and St. Agnes Church communities. He was also a committed member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours in St. Agnes Church, 30 Medford St., Arlington on Tuesday from 3-8 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held in church on Wednesday at 10am. Burial to follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Westford. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dave's memory may be made to Arlington Catholic High School, Development Office, 16 Medford Street, Arlington, MA 02474.
