Cattherine "Kit" Dowd, (Griffin) Passed away on July 18th, 2004. After a brief illness. She was 96 yrs. old. Born and raised in Ireland she moved to America when she was 17. She worked as a housekeeper. She has been an Arlington resident for over 39 yrs. Wife of the late James Dowd. Loving mother of Thomas Dowd of NY, Mary Dowd of Arlington, James Dowd of Billerica. Sister of Margaret Gibbons of Arlington, Nellie Evans of County Kerry, of Ireland. Also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday July 21, at the Misson Church in Roxbury. Burial will take place at St. Joseph's Cemetery in West Roxbury.
