Memories of Dad

Dad was the life of the party, as he entertained and had names for all the staff at The Arbors. Though-fading memory, he had a name for everyone; "Miss America, His Chubby Friend, His Girlfriend,"...etc, etc... He was never much for tact, but no-one seemed to mind. The grief evidenced by the staff, was a comfort to us all. Even his "girlfriend" who always called him Frankie, took special care to cater to whatever he would eat. Although she said goodbye and went off shift, she stopped by again one last time in tears. He was beloved and even the resident's spouses and families got a kick out of him. He always noticed a pretty girl and would wave. A long decline, but a latter quality of life which we are so thankful for. Our times alone were rare, but I took every opportunity to accompany dad on an errand. I love those memories...I will never forget... Love Donna
