The Golden Girls

My sister Jean, Joannie, and I inherited the name of "the Golden Girls". I don't even know who started the name, or when. I remember, Big John, Big Ed, and Da had all passed, and we all became very independent and inseperable. We phoned each other, went to most events together, and there was nothing we wouldn't do for each other. Jean and Joannie loved picking on me, only because they could. I always knew they really loved me, and always told them I had big shoulders. All of our children always called the three of us Auntie Jean, Auntie Joan, and Auntie Dolly. Two of Aunt Joans adult children just found out Jean and I were not their biological Aunts, but actually we are closer than most Aunties. We all got married the same year, in 1954. Jean and Joan were friends at that time, I met Joan and Big John shortly after. Closer friends and families, are hard to find. I will miss them both terribly. but will love their families forever. God Bless them all, I am here when they need me, and even if they don't. Love as always, Auntie Dolly. The last of the Golden Girls" (FOR NOW)
