Obituary for Mary R. "Rose" Carr (McLaughlin)

Carr, Mary Rose (McLaughlin) of Arlington

“Rose” passed away peacefully on June 26, 2019. She is predeceased by her devoted husband, David G. Carr and by her eldest son, Steven A. Carr. Loving mother of Patricia E. Ford and her husband Russell of Laguna Niguel, CA, David W. Carr and his wife Maggie of Arlington, Eileen M. Trickey and her husband Stephen of Medford and John K. Carr of Arlington. Grandma Rose to Allyson, David and Michael Cavaretta, Daniel Carr and Marissa Anderson and Justin Delvecchio. Great Grandma Rose to Camden, Sawyer, Sebastian, Nora and Benjamin Cavaretta and Charlotte Carr. Devoted sister-in-law of Elizabeth (Betty) Evans of Medford. Sister of the late Lawrence McLaughlin and William McLaughlin.

Rose absolutely loved to dance with her late husband, Dave. Dancing was their passion. The family referred to them as “Fred and Ginger” for their graceful dancing at family events. Rose was also an avid golfer and bowler, and enjoyed her many travels with Dave, summers at the family cottage on Lovell Lake in Wakefield, NH and winters at their home in West Melbourne, FL where she has many friends she loved dearly. Rose was also a longtime and active member of the Woburn Women’s Golf League at Woburn Country Club and most recently was seen arriving on her scooter at the Arlington Senior Center for bingo and FoxWoods trips. Funeral from the Keefe Funeral Home, Arlington on Monday at 10AM at St. Agnes Church, Arlington. Burial in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Arlington following funeral. Visitation at Keefe Funeral Home Sunday 2-6PM. In lieu of flowers donations to Fidelity House, Arlington
