Mildred I. "Millie" (White) Richards, a retired waitress, died at the Mount Auburn hospital in Cambridge on March 15, 2010 following a lengthy illness. She was 87 years old. Born in Watertown, she was a lifelong Cambridge resident. She had worked as a waitress at the S & S Restaurant in Cambridge. Beloved wife of the late John R. Richards, Sr. Mother of Frank Fitzgerald of Arlington & Somerville, Darlene Phelan of Mashpee, Nancy Facteau of Worcester, Thomas J. of Somerville, John I. of FL, Cheryle Fitts of Brockton, Kelly Thies of Cambridge and the late James. Also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held in the Keefe Funeral Home, 2175 Mass. Ave., NORTH CAMBRIDGE on Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at 7 pm. A Memorial Visitation will take place on March 24, 2010 from 4-7 pm. Relatives and friends invited. Interment is private.
