To Dear Richard's Family, We are very saddened to hear of Richard's death. We offer our deepest sympathy to you in your loss of a very special man. There was no person more kind and compassionate than Richard. We had many occasions to experience these exceptional qualities through the years. When my husband. Bill. was in a serious auto accident in 2000, it was Richard who came immediately to the hospital. There is no question that Richard is in heaven with Joe. Joe helped us many years ago when our daughter had a serious horse injury. He referred us to the right Doctor at Childrens' Hospital, where Dr. Upton saved our daughter's lower leg. We sat with Richard at Veronique Latimer's wedding, which is the last time we saw Richard. It was so good to catch up. Many years ago, it was Michele Latimer who introduced us to Richard and Joe. It was our good fortune ever since to have such a fine friend. Our prayers are with you and with Richard. Unfortunately, we are unable to attend services. We are in the midst of helping our daughter and two year old grandson get through a series of corrective surgeries for this old ankle-foot injurty with the very same Doctor Joe recommended years ago. I wrote to Richard at Christmas that Joe is still with us. Our sincerest sympathy, Lucy and Bill Buckley
