Stephen C.  O'Connor
O'CONNOR, Stephen C. of Malden, formerly of Cambridge. Died after a courageous battle with cancer on August 22, 2012. Beloved son of the late John and Ellen O'Connor. Loving husband of Kathy (Mafera) of Malden. Dear father of Kellie, Allison, Danielle, and Brian. Loving brother of John O'Connor of Cambridge, Mary Stacey and her husband Frank of Marshfield, Ellen "Patty" Casey of Arlington, and the late Edward O’Connor. Cherished son in law of Dorothy Mafera of Malden. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and many cousins. Steve worked at Saints Medical Center in Lowell for over 15 years, he served on the board of CTI, and sat in the finance council at Saint Mary’s in Melrose. Steve was a devoted husband , father, and friend to all who knew him. He fought extremely hard to cherish each day with the people he loved. Funeral from the Keefe Funeral Home, 2175 Mass Ave., NORTH CAMBRIDGE on Saturday at 10 am. Funeral Mass in Saint Mary's Church, 46 Myrtle Street, Melrose, at 11 am. Relatives and friends invited. Burial in Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden. Visiting hours Friday 4-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 44 Binney Street, Boston, MA 02115.
