Condolences

Condolence From: Norma Moriarty
Condolence: Lisa and Family, I was so sorry to hear about the death of your father. I know he had been ill for a while, and even though we know their time here is near the end, it still is devastating when they pass. Your dad was so blessed with such a long life and having all you crazy Boston kids. He is at peace now and not in pain anymore. The support of friends and family is one of the best things during this time. I'm sure a lot of old stories were told about him that you never even knew about. That's the good thing about Wakes and Funerals. You may get old photos of him from friends which you will treasure. Someone told me something that really put me at ease when my Dad passed suddenly and i had to get on a plane back to Ireland. They said now he is with you at all times to watch over and guide you. This really consoled me before a long flight home. So i occasionally talk to him which i'm sure you will do too - and when he doesn't answer my request i get mad at him. But i think the idea of him watching over you 24/7 is one of the nicest things to know. He will never be forgotten - especially by a big family. I'm sure there are enough stories to pass on to the grandchildren that remember him and to the ones that will come along. Grief is such a personal thing that you have to do mostly on your own but when you have a large family it definitely helps. Lisa i send you all my Irish love and will be thinking about you and will say a prayer. I will be getting a mass said for your dad (whenever the Zelin man and Tim unlock the chains at the desk) and will mail the masscard to you soon. My deepest sympathy Norma XOXO

Condolence: I am so sorry for your loss of this dear open-hearted man. I became friends with Mr. Donahue's daughter Lisa when we were both in our early twenties. When Lisa's friends visited her parents home in Medford or on the Cape, we were usually loud and messy. Yet we were always greeted with warm enthusiasm. Mr. Donahue made me feel welcome and at home with his family.
