Priscilla  S.  Connors (Smith)
Priscilla Smith Connors, 82, died peacefully on September 17, 2014. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother and Friend to many. Although born in Miami Beach, Florida, she lived most of her life in Cambridge and for the last 62 years on Crescent Street. Daughter of the late Florence Keating Smith and John J. Smith of Cambridge, she attended the former Agassiz School and Cambridge High and Latin School.

Priscilla had many artistic talents; painting, writing poetry, song writing and playing classical guitar. She was also an avid collector of yard sale and thrift shop treasures. Her greatest accomplishment was the organization of The Jimmy Smith Foundation, a group of volunteers that rounded up homeless cats and fed, cared for and adopted out thousands of animals in the Cambridge area.

She is survived by her Daughter, Beth Ellen Connors of North Reading and her Grandchildren, Shana Elizabeth McMahon of Charlestown and Dana John McMahon of North Reading, her sister, Gloria Smith Carney and her husband Dr. Peter Carney of Elkhart, IN and Osterville, MA., her caretaker, Leonard (Rocky) Mazzone, friend, Mary Jo Clarke of Cambridge and her former husband, John F. Connors of Lexington.

Funeral from the Keefe Funeral Home, 2175 Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge, MA on Thursday, September 25th at 9:00 am, followed by her funeral Mass in St. Peter’s Church, 100 Concord Ave., Cambridge, MA at 10:00 am. Services will conclude with burial at Mount Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 24th from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral home parking is available at Pemberton Garden Center.
