Obituary for Werner A. Low

Werner A. Low
Werner A. Low of Cambridge MA, 68, died peacefully at home on November 14 with his wife Dianne desRoches at his side. He is survived by a blended family including daughter Penny Windle Kline and her husband John Kline of NY, son Charlie Low and his wife Holly Low of NJ, son Andrew Low of MA, daughter Lynnie Low and her fiancé Patrick Coffey of MA and stepdaughter Anishe Antoniadis and her husband Alexi Antoniadis of MA. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren Nico, Ellie, Lila, Carter and Dennis, and by his sisters, half-sisters, step-mother, extended family and cherished friends. A talented writer who captured life's nuances with keen insights and wry wit, Werner was managing partner at Envision Corporation, a communications agency where he created an inspirational workplace that many will keep in their hearts forever.

After a successful career in corporate communications and speech writing Werner returned to his passion - creative writing. He had many short stories published and continued writing every day until his death.

He was also a financial wizard, a poker player, a pool player, a word nerd, athlete, football aficionado, and lover of arcane information, which he relished sharing with family and friends. He will be remembered for his love of family, pride in his children, one-line witticisms, keen intellect and ability to teach any child to fish. And most importantly he strived to live his life well and with integrity even as he took on cancer.

A celebration of Werner’s life will be held on Saturday November 21 from
11:30 - 12:30 pm at Mount Auburn Cemetery’s Story Chapel at 580 Mt. Auburn St, Cambridge, MA 02138. A reception will follow from 1:00-3:00pm in the Bigelow Chapel up the hill in Mount Auburn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Werner's memory may be made to the charity of your choice. There will be an opportunity to share stories at all events.
