Reverend Philip  Conroy
CONROY, Reverend Philip of Lexington, formerly of Cambridge. November 18, 2015. Beloved son of the late Martin and Barbara Conroy. Loving brother of Mary Hogan of Lexington, Ann Wasko and husband Paul of TX, Fred Conroy and wife Katherine of Lexington, Thomas Conroy of Cambridge, John Conroy and wife Barbara of Woburn, and the late Alice Rita and Barbara Hamilton and her late husband Joseph. Brother in law of James Rita of Cambridge. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Fr. Philip was a priest for the Archdiocese of Boston for over 50 years. During his ministry he served as a missionary in Peru, he was the Prison Chaplain at the Walpole State Prison, Chaplain at Saint Elizabeth’s Hospital in Boston, Pastor at Saint Patrick’s Church in Groveland, and served at many other parishes in the Boston area. Funeral from the Keefe Funeral Home, 2175 Mass Ave., NORTH CAMBRIDGE on Monday at 10 am. Funeral Mass in Saint John's Church, Cambridge at 11am. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Sunday from 2-6 pm. Burial is private. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Mount Saint Vincent Rehab Center, 125 Oakland St., Wellesley, MA 02181.
